Newspaper articles on birth of Maj Robert B Robertson's child in 1896

7 trees on Ancestry (which may all be wrong?!) have him as Tudor Peregrine Morris Robertson?!

And I'm not Kay99!!

Also his military records have him as Morris?

Well I stand corrected and as said in my post, previous information indicated he was Musgrave.

I stand corrected also in that I incorrectly identified your good self as Kay99 - appear to be having a rough night and perhaps time to call it quits for the day. 

From where did you locate his military record please KGarrad?

Don't worry about the identification!
As a twin, I get it all the time in daily life!! Even people who don't know I have a twin sometimes refer to me by his name?!

Hi Westy,
Source: The Gloucestershire Echo, 1896, 24th year, Cost One Half Penny.
The above record is held on film at Cheltenham Library, and I have checked all issues 1st July to 7th October 1896. Only some BMDs are recorded, generally on pages 3 or 4 in the far right hand column.
Some entries were unreadable and I did NOT find any entry recording the birth of a son to Major Robert Bowen ROBERTSON.
I also checked the Cheltenham Looker On, July to September 1896, and again found NO birth entry.
I also checked the Gloucestershire BMD Indexes and the birth is recorded as follows:-
Tudor P.M. ROBERTSON, b.1896 Cheltenham, Register 119, Entry 343, Mother nee MORRIS.
