Hi Zediscool,

I am the granddaughter of JK and Bridie and can provide you with some information on the Oregon branch of the tree! I was raised just down the road from my grandparents and was lucky to have heard quite a few stories about Ireland and their families, some of which might help you with your research.

Hi zediscool

My mother was raised in the house you mention in Ballinlough, by her aunt ANnie Frances Bradley  & uncle Johnny. Her father was James Bradley & she talks often of you great granny who lived to 102 ( my mum shared a bed with her)

Please get in touch & I'm sure she will be able to assist you.

I'm trying to do a family tree too & your info has helped a lot.

We keep in touch with my mums cousins in Oregon too

Look forward to hearing from you

Lisa Byrne (nee Doherty)

I also found a picture of the gravestone for Bridie Doherty 1908-2003 and John K Doherty 1905-1997 on Ancestry.

Here a link but it will only work if you are a member....

Ooops just noticed that you have already been given a link.  You may want to take a look anyway as the tree owner is a Doherty :)

Hi mab

Thanks for graveyard photo - it is actually my mother & father who upkeep the grave. My mother was raised in ballinlough by her auntie Annie frances Bradley who is also buried in this grave.

Are your parents from Ballinlough? My parents might now them - my mother is 69.

Trying to get in touch with zediscool but think he is no longer a member?

Thanks Lisa

Hi Lisa :)

I wondered who was looking after it because of the flowers.

My mum's family...the Bradleys...were from Meenamullaghan. My dad was from Derry. Both have passed away.

The last Bradley that I know of that lived in Meenamullaghan was my great uncle William Bradley who was married to Teresa Bradley from Ballinlough. They had nine children and well over 60 grandchildren so I'm sure your mum might know one of their descendants. I don't have many details on William and Teresa's children though except who they married and some of their children's names.

There are no gravestones in Cockhill for my Bradleys. Just a memorial stone that says "In Memory of the Bradley Meenamullaghan RIP".  I've often wondered who put it there.
