Henry J DAVENPORT died 1957 of Lime tree Ave Crewe his Executors were Elsie BRADBURY & Olive SLINN ( daughters?)

One can assume form this that he was either seperated form Alice or a widower...

Why?
It is not uncommon to have grown up children, or another rellie, or just a friend, or a business associate, to be ones executor. It doesnt have to be ones spouse! In fact, often people choose someone other than their spouse, to save the spouse the hassle of dealing with the estate at a time when they are having to cope with bereavement.

The two women quoted as his Executors are his daughters, however Elsie BRADBURY is mis transcribed. It should say Elise BAYLEY.

Still does not prove he was widowed or seperated.
