Dear members,

For a very long time I researching the loss and fate of a 460 RAAF Sqdn Lancaster PB255,AR-E2 crashed near the Dutch village Oostelbeers on Christmas eve 24 December 1944. The entire crew of six Australian and one British crewmember were killed and buried side by side at theParish churchyard at Oostelbeers. My research result that I got in touch eyewitnesses, discovered the crashsite in a wooded area and I am in touch with almost all the crews relatives except with the relatives of Wireless Operator F/Sgt Russell Ian Stewart. He was born 10th June 1923 in Melbourne and was the son of Percy David and Violet Stewart from 32 Cooloongatta Road ,East Camberwell,Vic.  Is there any one out there who is able to help me to get in touch with his relatives??

Thanks for looking,
Adrian

This is a tribute to Kevin John STOCKS who died in 2013 and was a cousin (as mentioned in the death notice).  Found his middle name from his army service on naa.gov.au   Think this is same man.

Hi Leanne,
You just beat me with death notice  - you're a step ahead of me. :)

There is a death of a Lloyd STEWART on Ryerson's http://ryersonindex.net/search.php on 20 July 2005 age 78 in herald Sun but I don't seem to be able to find a tribute  ???  It is a rarer name than I thought too so possibly the brother.

cheers,
   Ros

From Tedscout  on another thread

The Sunday Herald Sun newspaper has a free page where you can ask for information regarding people you want to find. Including family reunions, school and sporting club reunions and decendents.

Its called "Desperately Seeking" and you can email them on seeking@heraldsun.com.au. They ask you to include a phone number and/or email address to be published so people can contact you.

regards,
   Ros
