Missing BEAGLEYS
« on: Saturday 05 April 14 13:17 BST (UK) »
I just cannot find 2 of my Beagleys.    Catherine born 1854, Hartley Wintney, 1861 census with mo and fa (Charles and Eliza nee Cooper).   After that nothing.

Edward born 1868 HW, 1871, 1881 with mo Eliza (widow).   After that nothing although he could have died in 1901.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Harry

Thanks Rosie

you may be correct in that she married George.   I cannot find a Catherine born in Faringdon in 1854 or 55.   There is a Catherine Eliza born in Hartley Wintney in 1854 but she dies in the same year.  There is also a Catherine born in Alton in 1854.   All very confusing  as all the towns are in fairly close proximity in Hants.

I think that this is the Catherine that married George Lovell
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N1W2-DMN

and they are on 1871 census

Thanks  -  have now completely disregarded Lovell connection.    Charles and Eliza (Cooper) are CEs Fa and Mo and she is with them in the 61 census.

Could Catherine's surname be COOPER as

Charles Beagley occ Carpenter father John occ Builder & Eliza Cooper father James
didn't marry until 27th Jan 1857

their daughter Fanny Beagely from 1861 census is with her grandmother Elizabeth Cooper in 1871 living Hartley Wintney

FreeBMD has these entries

Charles Beagley Cooper Sep 1852 Hartley Wintney

Kate Cooper Mar 1857 Hartley Wintney

Fanny Elizabeth Beagley Dec 1869 Hartley Wintney
