I`ve managed to trace the Bannister family back to 1762 with Lancs online Parish Clerks, also on Family search
I can`t find anything past John and Isabel anywhere ..

can anyone suggest where I can get further back online .

Blakey Bannister - son of John Bannister & Isabel  Abode: Colne

Marriage: 31 Oct 1782 St Nicholas, Newchurch in Rossendale, Lancashire, England

Betty Bannister bp 18 Aug 1765 Colne, Lancashire, parents John & Isabel Bannister

Isabel died 1806

Isabella Bannister wife of Tho. Bannister buried 16 Feb 1806 Colne

I also note there is another blakey baptised nov 1734 in colne to john and eilizabeth . Could this be dad john 's brother ie family name

So far I`ve just been going from father to son, and ended up with John and Isabel.
Looking for the marriage of these two before I start off again.

As neither of them signed the register, could the minister have misheard her name ???

John and Isabel are my direct ancestors (via their son Charles) and while I've never found their marriage, Isabel Bannister was buried 4 May 1777 at St Bartholomew Colne and was noted as of Carrybridge, late wife of Henry Walton Esqr. My Charles was bapt a week later so she probably died of complications after his birth.

(Henry Walton Esq was buried 27 Apr 1754 at St Bartholomew, abode Marsden)
