I did think about Elizabeth who married Thomas Robinson as being the same person. But in the census William's son Thomas Robinson Williams was the (great) nephew, which didn't help!
I'm not 100% sure even of William Williams parents!

Just one thing to think about - the terms step-; in-law and nephew/niece often had slightly broader meanings then than nowadays.

I'll report back if I find anything interesting.

By the way, who was mentioned in Thomas Robinson's will?

As his wife had died, he left everything (and he had a lot!) to Thomas Robinson William who in the will is great nephew.
