I am trying to find any further info on Urban Frederick HEWITT  born 9 June 1835 Sheffield.

I have info from 1861 onwards when he was in York as a schoolmaster at Archbisop Holgates School, and I know that he was back in Sheffield when he married Elizabeth Victoria WHITELEY at St Mary's Church on the 25 June 1862.

Hi Trevor, don't know if you are still active in this search. Strafford Smith Hewitt, son of Urban Frederick Hewitt, qualified as a medical doctor and was active in South Africa, publishing on his experience in the SA Medical Journal. He married Sarah Matheson Mackenzie and they had twin daughters, Betty and Alditha Ann Hewitt. The latter is my mother.
