Baptism of Mary Tyrer 1805-1811, Adlington/Walton-le-Dale
« on: Tuesday 15 April 14 20:28 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for the baptism of Mary TYRER (without much success so far!)

Mary married Thomas LIVESEY on 22 June 1829 at Walton-le-Dale.  I've found her in the census returns for 1841 - 1871;  they seem to have disappeared from the 1881 census. Thomas died in 1884.

Mary's year of birth and birthplace are variously given as:

1841:  age 30 (so could be born 1806 - 1811) born Lancashire
1851: age 42 (so born 1809) born Adlington
1861: age 56 (so born 1805) born Walton
1871: age 60 (so born 1811) born Adlington

If anyone could find her baptism or whereabouts in the 1881 census, you earn my undying gratitude...

Hi Clare

Gosh, that was quick! - where on earth did you find that? I'm fascinated by the fact that the maternal grandfather is named...

This looks a distinct possibility - it's a possible fit for every census except the 1861, and a marriage at 17 wouldn't be out of the question.

Undying gratitude,

Cati

In 1881, Thomas Livesey and family have been mistranscribed as Livsley but are still on Smithy Row in Bamber Bridge.
