Must have had a change of career if it's the same one as in the census I gave. ;D

Edward married a Sarah Royle. The Royle's I have traced back to Isaac who came from Dublin. Edward Halstead I have born in Colne to Mary no note of a father.

I think you have the right  family heatherjulie. I like the 1881 census occupation, did the work in the circus/ funfair very interesting.

Just found Edward remarried and died in Glasgow. They state his parents were Edward Halstead and Mary Burrows.
