on my uncles WW1 records under the section "campaigns, wounds, medal or rewards of any kind" there seems to be what looks like 'BW70 Medal' the hand writing is terrible was there such a number if so what was the medal for
brown's and broom's of norfolk area, butcher of bromyard, goodall' edmonton, tottenham, bexley heath, walthamstow.  attwell/atwell? hamlett of walthamstow.  long's of norfolk

Hi, could you give us his name and some details so we can have a look at the record.  I am wondering if BW was an abbreviation of British War Medal.
