Pete's Photograph's Conundrum, Help Needed to Date Please.

Hi, Firstly may I draw your attension to a previous thread started by Rootschat member Pete edwards:

Pete has kindly sent me the album to upload the various photographs to this thread with a view to dating them and to see if anything else can be gleaned with a view to finding out as much as possible regarding the people in them.

I will upload the photographs over the coming days in a manner which I hope will ensure people do not get "Bogged Down" with loads of photographs appearing in a short time.

Any help and input will be greatly appreciated.

The photograph it is mounted on card and this is the reverse, it measures 4 and 1/4 inches wide and 6 and 1/2 inches tall.

Late 1880/early 1890s by the back. Quite the back, too...so much going on

Hi ChinaKay, Thank you for your reply, yes, it is as you say quite a back.

This photograph has the same back and was alongside the first one posted, I am assuming that they are a married couple, presumably she is the same time frame.

The back is typically 1890's however it first appeared in the late 1880's.
The man could belong in either decade but the woman was taken in the late 1880's.
Both photos have identical styling so I would agree they were taken at the same time.
A couple in their 60's I would suggest.
