Wow - I was just so taken aback at the 'restored' photo - thank you so much - that is incredible.

Yes the 'Herrons' in 1861 were the same family - this name has been spelt in so many different ways!

If I guess the girls' ages were say roughly three and ten and the photo was taken  in 1859 that would mean it was Eliza dob 1849 and Jessamine dob 1856.  I don't think it could have been taken earlier unless I am guessing their ages incorrectly.  They did have a brother born in October 1858 and another in 1861. 
William had worked as a journeyman bootmaker in London at Buhls, Burlington Arcade - don't know if beards were acceptable there!  The family returned to Gloucestershire sometime between 1856 and 1857.
