I don't have anything for 1911 census just 1891 and 1901. I am looking for death notice for Ann brown but no luck yet...I did find a death notice for Edward Gallagher 1887 going on the assumption that he was alive in 1884 (date of Mary Ann wed) but not on 1891 census. However this was just a list of names of those being buried at St peters cemetery dalbeath.

Do you live near Glasgow if so you should try Mitchell Library they have a Scotlands People search room costs £ 15.00 for the whole day a lot cheaper than online ...They also have a lot of other records ...You would be better grouping all your previous posts together so people don't waste a lot of time on looking for information that you have already got... not sure how you do this but I'm sure Monical will know  ;) ;)

Hi Rosie  :)

As you say, to keep all post together so that people trying to help can see what is there. I think these the are the main Coyle posts:

www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=689567.0
www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=689565.0

Jackie's grandmother, Annie Coyle, then went on to marry Laurence Allen, mentioned here www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=688713.0 and here www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=689047.msg5329572#msg5329572

Complicated story all round so understand why Jackie, starting out, has added new posts along the way in recent times.

Progress being made though  ;) Hope others may be able to add further info along the way.

Jackie, Mary's father Richard, a Hand Loom Weaver by occupation. Mother Sarah's maiden name, Gennan (needs further work that name  :-\).

Death looks like: Paralysis (shock), short of months, as certified by James Herbertson (doc).

Most likely a version of Gannon, which is predominantly Irish.
