June Mary Sidney Ritchie b1919

This a strange one, June was born in Hong Kong the daughter of Frank Sidney Ritchie and Ivy Hair nee Masters. She travelled about the World quite a bit and was living in Kerekeri New Zealand in 1949. It is believed that she married a Mr Taylor and may have returned to Canada possibly BC as her brother, John was living there (he was born in Kuala Lumpa in 1917) he died in Vancouver in 2003.
I'd like to know if she married Taylor in Canada or NZ and if they had any children?
I've tried the Canada board but it seems as if she was in NZ in 2003 when her brother died.

Her death notice was published on 29 Aug 2007 in both the NZ Herald and the Northern Advocate. It might mention children. Maybe ask for a Knowledge Basket look-up or a plain old newspaper look-up.

There is also a Probate file for her husband. Maybe ask for an Auckland Archives look-up.

Their marriage took place in NZ but I can't tell you the year as it's less than 80 years ago....

Hi Beg, that's super information but I couldn't find their obits but have e-mailed the Herald to see if they can help.
I've tried before to get probate records from NZ but data protection is worse there than here! So not much hope there.

If you need probates from NZ it may pay to start a thread with a request for someone to go into Archives and view the probate,we usually take digital photos of them,
