Hi Robyn,
I don't know her parents names.  I know that she had 2 of her children with James Shepherd in Carcoar and I was working on a hunch that she may have had family there.  I cannot find a birth for her on the NSW BDMs.  There is one listed with Caleb & Mary Flood as the parents but this is not the Sarah I am looking for.  I cannot find a death cert for her either.  Is there a Sarah in your Flood family?  Any tips on how I might fund her parents will be much appreciated. Regards Pamela

 Hello Pamela
I have checked all my research and have found on Catherine Flood's death certificate that she had 4 males and 1 female living and 4 males 1 female deceased when she died in 1891. unfortunately it does not give any children name's. and I can account for the other's but could never trace the living Female so may be it's your Sarah.
So Sarah would have died after 1891 if it's her I had a quick look but couldn't find her may be she remarried again.
and I don't have James's death certificate I could never find it
                                   good luck Robyn

Hi Robyn,
I have ordered Sarah's marriage certificate to James Shepherd so hopefully it may reveal her parents' names.  Here's hoping!  I will let you know if it is Catherine and James.  Thanks Pamela

Hi Robyn,
I got the marriage certificate for Sarah Flood and James Shepherd but unfortunately no parents were noted and no age or place of birth for either.  I might try to get the birth certs of their later children and see if that contains anything.  Did you mention that you have a registration number for a birth cert for Sarah?  I know Sarah was living at Kangaloola when her 2nd child Eliza was born and also when she married James.  He is listed in the 1872 Greville Postal records as being a householder in Kangaloola but their next 2 children Mary & Emma were born in Carcoar.  Any information about your Floods might help. Regards
Pamela

 Hi Pamela
How very disappointing for you. I wonder if you contacted the Churchs in Carcoar they might have a record of Sarah baptism.
No I didn't find a Sarah Flood birth registration no. only a Mary A in Carcoar.
what Church were they married in sometimes the Church has better records then the state archives. if I think of any thing that might help you I will let you  know
