Halesworth - Woods the butcher?
« on: Wednesday 02 April 14 09:36 BST (UK) »
In the Suffolk lookup forum I have asked for help identifying a cart known to have been driven by a young man living in Halesworth.  I could not enclose the photos so have moved to this section.

Enclosed are two photos, one the whole picture, the other an enlargement of what is sign written on the side of the cart.

The 1916/7 picture is of Frederick Christopher Lloyd (b.1900 in Tharston, Norfolk) who, from his enlistment papers for WW1, was known to be then living in Halesworth.  (He was killed in action the following year.)  This is supported by family recollections.

Please can anyone help to identify the owner of the cart and know anything of the life of Frederick whilst in Halesworth.

Thanks in anticipation.

As there is already some information on your other thread http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=682457.0 it is best to cross reference to save duplication of information and time.
