Having cogitated on the casualty lists that he appears in they appear to relate to three wounds (as mentioned in the article) at the following places:

- Times Casualty List of 1-11-1916 (as a Corporal), almost certainly wounded with 6th Battalion at Thiepval on 26-9-1916

- Official Casualty List of 3-9-1917 (as a Sergeant), almost certainly wounded with 6th Battalion at Sanctuary Wood near Ypres on on 4-8-1917 give or take a day or so. The battalion was heavily shelled on the 4-8-1917, losing three men killed (who appear on the same casualty list) and suffering several more wounded casualties.

- Official Casualty List of 12-6-1918 (as a Sergeant), probably wounded at Villers Bretonneux on 24/25-4-1918, either with 6th or 2nd Battalion - my money being on the 2nd Battalion

I had personally thought he may be the man on the right end (as we look) of the 2nd row down?

Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to.

Hi Steve

Having looked again at the picture l think l agree with the gentlemen you suggested, The brother Suggested lm still unsure of who he could be, l know of 2 Brothers William Radwell Born 1900 Little Addington Northamptonshire and a Half Brother Henry Radwell Born 1885 Kettering Northamptonshire, l Can not find any Military Records for either of them, l have seen something concerning a William John Radwell or a John William Radwell but seems to be from Aylesbury.

Thank you again

There is a William Rodwell (with an "o") in the Royal West Kent Regiment), number GS/10275.

His Regiment has been mistranscribed as "REast Kent Regiment"

He is a possibility?

EDIT: No, with further checking it appears this man was from Norfolk and was killed in 1916.

HI

That could well be him the family going back did  record the surname as Rodwell l am unable to find Walter and William Radwell in the 1901 Census and Forget about the spelling and not with parents maybe if l can find the Census may also show possible other Siblings maybe additional brothers.

Thank you

Hi

Looking again on walters parents 1911 Census records that Thomas and Emily had 7 Children but 2 had died, 4 Children are present on the Census except Walter making him the 5th child so whether Half Brother Henry Born 1885 was in service at that time do you think it is more likely to be William the Brother Mentioned ?
