South Africa WW1 records
« on: Wednesday 10 September 14 20:56 BST (UK) »
Hello!

Does anyone know where I can find war records of SA soldiers? Looking for an R Westergaard but have been unable to find any record listings so far.

Thank you

please contact the C T F H S as listed on the site.... or you may have to buy a sub on anc for Sud Africa......

best to put a post on warforum about this ........  with what you know.....

we have a chatterer 3sd.... threesillydogs often found in the chatroom that may be able to assist you as Sue lives in  S A......

sometimes by putting names in google adding WW1 etc produces small fragments....

S A is exceptionally difficult to research and a lot of archival material actually sits in the open air in a paddock...

 :)

PS   Milly  this post may actually be better of on the South Africa board......marty

This email address is where I have got all my South African military information. It is the military Archives Documentation Center.
