Baptism record for Llansanffraid Glan Conwy
« on: Sunday 27 April 14 20:44 BST (UK) »
Hi, I was wondering if someone would be very kind to look up a baptism record for an Ellinor or Eleanor  Jones born C1810 in Llansanffraid Glan Conwy. She married a William Williams and both were living in Hendre, just outside Betws yn Rhos. All census records stated she came from Llansanffraid. Any help would be gratefully appreciated
Many thanks

There is a record of Eleanor daughter of Evan Jones & Anne his wife born Jan 5th 1810 bap Jan 14th.
Does the father's name seem correct?

Hi Many thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to confirm Eleanor's parents. Her marriage to William Williams was by banns in the parish church of Betws yn Rhos. Witnesses were Owen Williams and Elizabeth Jones, so unless there is a baptism record for Elizabeth Jones, (the witness) by the same parents as Eleanor's then alas I don't have concrete proof. It's just an assumption. 4 Census records stated that Eleanor was from Llansantffraid, so this was my only clue. So very sorry I can't help any further. It's annoying when you come across a brick wall, and this is only one of many.
