Where was a John Henry Mander born in 1918?He died in Macclesfield in 1995.He married my relative Evelyn Wass Conway at Congleton in 1940.

The Wass connection I have concerns my relative Elizabeth Conway born in Mow Cop Staffordshire in 1865's offspring with an Unknown father whose children used the middle name Wass.Can I go for sounds like family of Wase i have who lived in the St Helens area from 1900.

Looks like Ancestry had a transcription problem - he's listed as "John H Man??"   !!

I tend to use FreeBMD rather than Ancestry or FindMyPast, etc. for GRO BMDs :)
