Napsbury Hospital
« on: Sunday 18 November 12 10:55 GMT (UK) »
I would like to find out about Napsbury Hospital.  A google search reveals that it was built as a mental hospital but I wonder if it was always so or if its main use changed over the years.  I am interested in the years leading up to WW2.  Are there any online resources for hospitals in the vein of Peter Higginbotham's workhouses website?

best wishes
Jane :-)

Hi Jane
Perhaps this will not be of use, but have you contacted London Colney Historical soc. they will be able to tell you where the records have gone, in fact my late father-in-law worked at Napsbury
hope this helps

Hi

It is worth reading the couple of dozen or so posts on this site.

Just select Search and enter "napsbury".
