Donald Ross b. 1881 Bracadale

Hi!

I am new to Rootschat and am wondering if anyone can help me get some information on my Great-Grandfather Donald Ross born 20/06/1881 in the Parish of Bracadale. His father was Hugh Ross and His mother was Catherine Macleod.

Any info regarding family history on Skye would be much appreciated.

Hugh was probably "shepherding" somewhere else on census night

1901 for Bracadale

Kate Ross    56 shepherds wife b Kilmuir
Jemima 13 b North Uist
William 12     ditto
Christina Ann 1 gr/dtr b Bracadale
Bracadale ED 2 Page 9 Line 14

Daughter Dorcas was in service to the Taylor family in Bracadale

Son Ronald was in service in Perth and son Donald was a farm servant in Bracadale

It was Duncan and Annabella I Mackenzie both b 1852 Gavilock Rosshire - innkeeper and farmer at Struan Inn Rd.  Donald was one of 8 such servants    Bracadale ED 3 Page 1 Line 2
