may i have some help please
« on: Friday 29 November 13 06:51 GMT (UK) »
could someone help me please to find this gentle man please.
His name is Mr.Thomas Francis Aubrey Lewis
He is i believe from a place called  Pott Shrigley,in Cheshire.
He was born in 1913 and died in 1984.
He married a lady by the name of Ethel i believe.
i would like to know please if they had any children or if Thomas had any siblings;
I have just learnt that Ethels surname was CLAYTON,there might be a slight possibility that she may have come from around there
Thank you ever so much for taking time to just read this, deeply appreciate it

There are some Lewis births with mothers maiden name Clayton but because they are likely to be still living we can't broadcast them on the board.

Have a look here

Hi,
Welcome to Rootschat :)
His Death Registration gives his birth as 10 th April 1913
Looking on www.freebmd.org.uk  there is a birth registration for a Thomas F A Lewis in A/M/J 1913 registration district Bridgend, Mothers maiden name  Cappell. Also there is a possible sister in 1914 although there are two possible Lewis/Cappell marriages in Bridgend so the birth in 1914 may not be Thomas' sister.

Using freebmd you should be able to find his parents though we always suggest you back everything up with certificates to be 100% sure.
Cathy :)

I'm a bit concerned about the marriage record and the fact that he is using just Aubrey as christian name but I can't find anything else that fits,so yes Cathy is right you do need to buy certs to be sure.
There is a tree on Ancestry for this couple but be careful, there is nothing to say it's accurate.

You re welcome :)
If you think Thomas' parents could be Iris I C Cappell and Thomas S Lewis as opposed to Gomer Lewis and Lillian Elsie R Cappell then it looks like Thomas snr died in WW1 and Iris remarried.
