Llewellyn Hughes
« on: Sunday 03 August 14 16:47 BST (UK) »
Looking for family of Llewellyn Hughes, born in Shropshire about 1894, brother Harold born Atcham 1909, Parents MARY and HUGH. Hoping to find where the parents were born also.
I think they all came from that area, but in later years moved around ending up in Northwold, Norfolk
Many thanks for any help offered. This all the information I have.

Hi,

I can see a birth and a death for Harold Edward Hughes in 1909, however there doesn't appear to be a birth for a Llewellyn Hughes c. 1894, Shropshire. Have you found his birth and equally have you found the family on any census?

There is a birth of a John Llewellyn Hughes
q1 1894, Oswestry
Vol 6a Page 677

Could this be who you are looking for?

Thanks, I think the Llewellyn you found is possibly him.  Not the Harold though, he died in 1940, have confirmation of that,
I am actually trying to put the whole family together.
Thanks
Y

This is the only birth in 1909, Atcham that can be found for a Harold Hughes

Harold Edward Hughes
Registration Year - 1909
Registration Quarter - Jan-Feb-Mar
Registration district - Atcham
Vol 6a Page 505

This would appear to be his death -

Harold Edward Hughes
Estimated birth year - abt 1909
Registration Year - 1909
Registration Quarter - Jan-Feb-Mar
Age at Death - 0
Registration district - Atcham
Vol 6a Page 505

Therefore the Harold born 1909 Atcham cannot be your Harold if he died in 1940.

If you could post the source of your information as to the parents of Llewellyn and Harold then that may help us to locate them better.

Also where did Harold die in 1940 and do you have the death of Llewellyn?

Sorry this is vague, all I have is that Harold died 1940, I have the certificate, sorry if I am asking too much please say so,.
I really am hoping that someone who has access to census could pick them up as a family unit.
Tks Y

Re your question on my source - it came from a very elderly lady who  knew that Hugh and Mary lived in Northwold, Norfolk, but they hailed from Wales.
That all she could remember
