G James Engine driver . The Mallard 1948 and royal Scot.

Hi My Late Aunts father in Law was G James and was something of a celebrity among Engine drivers in 1948 . Does anyone know anything else about him ? The Attachment shows him with his firemen at nine elms in 1948 at the locomotive exchange trials.
