Hi Ann,

I found these posts very helpful.  I am convinced that Harriet and Hannah Lamb are the same person.  My grandmother was the daughter of Joseph and Hannah Clare nee Lamb.  In the 1881 census they are residents of 59 All Saints Street Hastings.  So are William and Mary.  My grandmothers name is Harriet

Hi there. I have only just found this site.  Not sure if this will go anywhere. My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Lamb. Her parents were Thomas and Esther nee Coleman. Thomas was a fisherman. They lived at The Tackleway, Hastings.  Any connection to you I wonder?  I will have to dig out the other information later.

Hi Jill,

Sorry for the very very late reply as I have been very busy with work and only just managed to get back onto this site today.

I'm will have to have a good look at my family tree for you. For what I understand there is two different Lamb families in Hastings so I will have a look and get back to you.

Again sorry for the late reply.

Do you have a year of birth at all and I can look at my family tree?   :)
