was captured at Crete date unknown and held at Stalag Camp 4C.

Grateful for any information for his 86 year old brother. If the papers could be copied I will reimburse with postage costs. Would his service records also be held at the TNA?

i think his service record will still be at MOD they cost £30 to get a copy you need to fill out a form on the veterans agency website to start the process.

Hi Veronica,
                  the File would be WO 344/54/2. That is if he made a Report when Liberated. It would clear up any doubts regarding dates.

Unfortunately I will not be at Kew in the foreseable future.
