James Moore

Can anyone help as I am unable to find anything about James Moore and his family last seen in the 1841 census in Low Gillespie, Old Luce. James and his wife Elisabeth Marshall who were married in Myrock in 1934 appear with their children James and Elizabeth. I have search in vain for any record on the census and also on Scotland's People but so far without any luck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Can you include details of their birthyears from the 1841 entry and whether they were shown as born in county or not b in county

Have you checked any of the English censuses for them

James was born around 1811 in Ireland, he was 30 and a Farm Worker in 1841
Elizabeth was born in Penninghame on 27 Feb 1818 and was aged 26 in the census.
James was born in Old Luce and was 4 years old in the census
Elizabeth was 2 in the census, with no note of birth place or perhaps I forgot to record it.

Thank you so much I was unaware of the twins although there are several Twins and even triplets in the family in the 1880's. I have checked the emigration lists but haven't been able to find them. Perhaps they travelled to England as did others in the family, however, not until 30 years later. The search continues as no-one can disappear. Well I hope not.

On Family Search there's an Elizabeth Moore on the 1881 census residing st Old Luce, Wigtownshire, Is she the same one? She;s age 62.
