Irene, my wife asked on another thread if its been looked into by rootschat people being a ble to give a donation to whatever, for your troubles.
This pic i enquired about being restored about 10 years back with a photography shop  and was quoted a lot of money back then. Getting all this done by you guys is phenominal and  feel some small voluntary donation through paypal would be a nice thankyou for the effort and time you obviously giving up for everyone.

This subject comes up every now and again and there have been lots of discussions on it.
I think the concensus is that we just love to do this and bringing a smile to the owners of photos that have been restored by us, is in itself thanks enough.
Believe it or not I find doing this very relaxing and at the same time if I can give back to the Roots community for all the help I have recieved in the past from them, then its all good.

Seriously speaking,

There are far too many people offering their services for money , who aren't all that good. I guess that we kinda balance things up.

My apologies to any genuine 'professionals'.

What a fabulous job on the photo.  Seems like Irene has lots of talent. :)

I am going to post a bad photo also.

Cheers to Irene.

My ancestor is seated bottom right. The boat is the Isle of Erin, which sank off Orkney in 1908 on route to Uruguay, with the loss of all its crew.

I also have an ancestor who lost his life when this ship sank.  I have seen this picture online and would love to link the faces to the names on the crew list.  I don't believe any of them is my ancestor, but if you wouldn't mind giving me it, I'd like to be able to link your ancestors name to the lad on the bottom right.
With thanks.
