The Common Room / Re: Death of RootsChatter: 'Christopher'
« on: Monday 01 June 09 22:54 BST (UK)  »
I have been away from rootschat for a while but felt I must visit when I heard the sad news about Christopher.

Goodnight "UNCLE" Chris - so glad I had chance to meet you and put a face to the name! Who will I argue with now?  :(

Goodbye and God Bless

SAZ

Wow Cpt Jock

I am bouncing too!!!!!!!!!!!!

I so remember those Novembers in Carnmoney Church (back in 1960s). The list was read out and it seemed to take hours - I was much too young to appreciate the significance of this!

Now it is all making sense and I wear my poppy with pride - many of those people named all those years ago "belonged" to me!

Thank you for reminding me

Saz (STEVENSONs SIS!)

I vaguely remember Topsy Toosey being the road (more a narrow lane) that we walked thro from Ballyhenry to Carnmoney graveyard. Only a few little cottages / farm buildings on the way thro. I think it came out at "Red sheds" on Ballyhenry Rd. All would be long gone now with the housing estate and new road.

Hi Folks
I am surprised Steve hasn't mentioned our Stephen Stevenson or his son Stephen!!! Mind you my real names not that much different as I am descended from them!!! AND if Steve dares to tell she will be in BIG BIG trouble!!!!
Wot a strange family I am from - just glad I broke the pattern and gave my 2 children simple names!!

Any guesses will be denied vigorously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy days - saz x
