Thank you Rosinish for the helpful information. :)  I will make sure to look for the different spellings and dates.

To Susie C

Hello,

I would love to know more about Margaret and her family.
And thank you for the extra information.
I haven't done much research this past year, due to family health problems, but would love to finish all my family trees for my children to have.

Are you on ancestry by any chance?  I am on there as 66Ness.

Vanessa.

Don't be sorry, thanks for at least taking the time and sending message. :D

I had the pleasure of going there last September and meeting up with distant family, who took us around all of Eaton Bray and parts of Dunstable.  So beautiful there and interesting to see where my ancestors lived and worked.  They ran the Bellows Mill for a long time, with most of my ancestors born there, so it was great to have a little look around. Wonderful memories of our trip there.

Sounds like you have fond memories of your childhood there.

Thanks again and take care

Vanessa.

Thanks Elle,

That is actually the story I wrote on my great grandfather on the Eaton Bray website.

Thanks for your reply and the information.  But I am pretty sure I can't find a connection to the Benson's in my tree, not that I have gone back very far.  If I do ever come across a connection though, I will let you know.

I wish you luck on your research.

Vanessa

Hi Barkrelsatthepoint,

I'm unsure of whether there is a connection or not.  I have Benson's on one family tree (my mother's side) and Woodhouse through marriage on another tree (my father's side)   I don't have any marriages between Benson's to Woodhouse, however I have not gone back that far.

I have a tree on ancestry.com if you wish to see.  Under 66ness.

Thanks Paul for your message.

Constance Maud was the sister to my great grandfather Peter Pieraccini.  Most of the photo's and information online has come from my tracing the family and have sent to others that were tracing the family tree. I still have further photos to upload and also try and work out who others are in a lot of photo's/negatives.  You can find my tree under ancestry.com  rawlings/pieraccini for any information that might help you.  I have a fair bit of information too on Elsie Wood (nee Woodhouse) too.  It is just uncovering other information that I sometimes hit a wall.   My assumption is that Elsie when to live with the Pieraccini's due to her bother becoming ill, whom died a few years later, but I don't think we will ever truely know if my assumption is correct.

There is still a son alive today of Edith Pieraccini, Constance Maud's sister.  He is still in the Luton area.  Seems the Pieraccini line has had some long living genes.  My own grandmother (Peter's daughter) passed away aged 91.

I am taking a small break from researching at the moment, can become very time consuming, but will be back on track sometime next month.

Enjoy the wonders of finding out about the family, I know I have been.

Vanessa.

They certainly are a mystery.

Europe / SOS on missing Woodhouse family, possibly traveled abroad to Italy in 1909.

Hoping someone might be able to shed some light on a missing family I have in 1911.  Fred and Maggie (Margaret) Woodhouse.

Details of the family are below.
Frederick Charles Woodhouse 1883 born Hackford, Norfolk KIA 5th Nov 1917 Egypt.
Margaret (Maggie) Woodhouse (nee Pieraccini) 1883 Luton, Bedfordshire - 1952 Rugby, Warwickshire.

Married 1904 Luton, Bedfordshire.

I believe Frederick was a Horse Trainer.

Children

Frederick Charles jnr 1906 Bedfordshire

Nelson Dennis 1907 Bedfordshire

Maggie or Margaret ? no information, possibly born abroad.

Arthur P 1912 Luton

Robert S N 1914 Luton

Constance Elizabeth 1915 - 1976 Rugby, Warwickshire.

Reginald C C 1919 - 1975 Rugby. Maggie's son, father unknown.

It is possible that Fred and Maggie travelled to Naples Italy on the Omrah 19 Feb 1909 with their two sons Fred and Nelson, this is what I am trying to confirm and if so when did they return, as their 3rd son was born back in Luton in 1912.  So between the birth of their second son in 1907 till 1912, I have lost them and also cannot find a birth for Maggie (possibly born Margaret) their daughter in the UK.  I do know she exists, as I have pictures of her, but no other details.  Could she have been born in Italy?  If in fact the family did travel there.

I have not been able to locate the Woodhouse family living in the UK on the 1911 census and had put out an SOS in the English Chat room, and they have steered me to here in the hope we might find something to help us.

Margaret (Maggie) Woodhouse was born a Pieraccini.  Her grandfather Pietro Pieraccini (Pierachini) looks to have immigrated to the UK prior to 1829.

Pietro Pierachini was born Tuscany Italy 1807.  Father's name was Giacomo Pierachini as per marriage certificate.  I have no other information of the family prior to Pietro moving to the UK.  Would dearly love to find out any information as possible of the Pieraccini/Pierachini family if anyone has any information.
Pietro was a wonderful sculptor, plasterer, modeller and many of his busts are apparently still in the UK.  Although as I do not live in the UK, am unable to actually find or confirm where the bust are now.  One is believe to be Queen Victoria 1838.  I do have a list and where they are apparently displayed if anyone is interested or could help with letting me know if they are actually still there.

I believe that most of Pietro's children and then their children followed in his footsteps and were part of the massive recovery and restoration of London and surrounding areas that were bombed in the war.

Hoping for any information.

Thank you

Vanessa.
