Hi bethanyyd96,  Thank you for answering my query about the marriage of Edmund Marsden & Mary, his name was Edmund  not Edward and I am not sure that Duffield could be right. If you have any information on this marriage I would be pleased to see it.  Many thanks.

Hi trish 1120,  Many thanks for your reply yes, the children you listed were  Edmund & Marys children.
No sure about a marriage you mentioned in Heage as Edmund always lived in the Baslow area. If you have info  on this marriage I will be pleased to look at it.  Thanks again.  wisteria

Hi Spendlove,     Pleased to receive your reply  regarding marriage of Edmund Marsden and Mary.
Edmund Marsden was Christened 10th April 1645 at Baslow being the 7th child of Edmund & Francisco Marsden (nee Jackson) who married 6th July 1635 at Bakewell, Derbys. You are correct in thinking that I have calculated roughly the date of Edmund & Marys marriage as their 1st child  Godfrey was Christened 12th February 1683/84 at Baslow, so the marriage could be any where between 1682 and 1685.  I am fairly sure that they would have married as  the family in general all married  but some left it a little late.  I know that Edmund died in 1711 and I have a copy of his Will.  Thank you for sending the information on the Marsden family by David Dalrymple-Smith - I gave him a lot of information on the Marsden family over 10 years but  not sure if I agree with some of the assumptions he has made.

Can anyone help or advise me on how I can find the marriage of the couple in question. The couple were living in the Baslow area in Derbyshire but I cannot find their marriage in any local parishes -  I am thinking that perhaps it may be Edensor or some other small parish that records have not been published.  Look forward to a reply.  Many thanks. ???

Hi,  I am trying to link two families for a relative. The person I am looking for is William Biggs (Could be Bigg) who was born in 1791.  He states on the 1851 census that he was born at Weston, Herts but was living at Sandon, Herts which is a few miles away. I need to know who his parents are to try and make a connection.  Hope that someone can help.  Many thanks.  wisteria16

Hi Maureen,
I just want to thank you again now that I've got my head sorted out.  I have managed to take the family back another 2 generations by finding his parents marriage in 1800.  Still unable to find Samuels baptism in 1814.   Very best wishes :D.

Hi Maureen,
I think that you have got this family - what can I say!  Not sure of the records that you have access to but I was floundering with this person.  Will write to you later when this has sunk in.  Many thanks.
