Thanks Janeharvey
This is the same family as I have just spoken to my mum and she can confirm that she can remember her mum talking about a grandma Gregory she must of been married before her name changed to Gregory as the two children were cummins and I think that George cummins (son) is my Nana's dad. thanks so much.

Lancashire / Cummins family in mancheter Help!!
« on: Saturday 15 April 06 10:47 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help me find any information on the cummins family. The only information that I have is that my Nana was called Kathleen cummins DOB 25/01/1915 she had several brothers and sisters May, Gladys,George,Ann,Charles and Elizabeth(Betty) I Know that their father was called George and that he married a Catherine Lundregan Choltern Manchester I think that they married in 1911 I also know that they lived at 20 Grafton Street Gorton as this is on my Nan's Birth cert. Any information would be brilliant. we were on the understanding that Catherine Lundregan came from either Ireland or Liverpool, we are not sure which. Also the Name Gregory comes into this family as we can remember her talking about a grandma Gregory. ???

Sorry, Michaels dad was called John Burney in 1911 he had passed away. this was on Michaels marriage cert. I have found a John and Esther Burney living at 6 Clayton street which I believe is just around the corner from where Michael Burney lived in 1915. But this could be the wrong family.
