I have the information from the 1911 census, what I would really like would be to contact a descendant of Agnes.

Hi

Anyone know where Carnach-Beg is in Kincraig.  Perhaps this house no longer exists, this address is on a death certificate in 1966.  Many thanks.

Looking for information on John McDermid and his wife Mary who are living in Bundaloch, Kintail in the 1861 census.   John and Mary were both born in Ireland.  They had a son Francis (born Glasgow 1837) who married Christian/Christie McRae (her father was Donald McRae, soldier and mother Margaret McRae ms McRae).  Francis and Christian are in Kintail in 1861 census, 1871 census Christian is with her son Donald and daughter Mary, no sign of Francis.  However, I found him in the poor house in Glasgow in 1874 and he died there in 1879.  On his death certificate he is down as single.  Ring any bells with anyone?

Hi

The IGI records have William Eddie's parents as Hugh Eddie and Janet McBain and his death as 1853.  Elspet's parents as Alex McDonald and Margaret McLeon (suspect this is either McLean or McLeod) Elspet died in 1855.  1855 is when Scottish Records began so you should be able to find her death certificate on Scotland's People.  From this certificate you will be able to confirm her parents names.  You may also be able to find them on the census records on Scotland's People.

Good luck

Hi

I think I have  found him on Ancestry emigrating to the US.  I am going to purchase credits to download the entry.  I also posted on another news group and had a reply stating that the Ancestry entry has Andrews mother and step father listed.

Many thanks for your help.

Thank you for your reply.  I have tried Scotlands People but could not find a marrige or death for Andrew.  I also checked WW2 Records to see if he was a casualty but could not find him there.  Perhaps he emigrated.  I will try Ancestory.com.  Once again thanks for your help.
