There are a lot of Ewen Camerons.  I have been searching through many records but unable to make a clear connection for his parents.  One lady has even travelled to Scotland to search with no real results.  I also recently found out that the church in Scotland where Ewen was from got washed away in a flood and so did a lot of the records for that area in that era.  I would like to look at the Parish Registers in Australia as I know that sometimes there is extra information not always recorded when they were transcribed and sometimes could be a small note etc written at the bottom.  I recently obtained a scanned of the parish Register for a Marriage and was able to obtain more information than the BDM record had on it.  Anyway just wishful thinking.

Thank you for the reply ;D. I have a lot of information on Ewen Cameron except his parents names.  I have obtained a transcript of his death and was hoping to track down some of the original parish registers from the area. I am hoping there might be information that wasn’t recorded onto the bdm registers.

I am hoping somebody could let me know who would hold the parish records for -CHURCH OF ENGLAND BURIALS IN THE PARISH OF CANBURY IN THE COUNTY OF MURRAY NSW IN THE YEAR 1852 or even the Presbyterian Church Parish Registers for the Canberra area 1852.  My ancestor Ewen Cameron passed away in 1852 and no records I have found indicate who his parents were so I am hoping maybe they were written in the parish registers.  I recently access scans of the parish records for the Newcastle area so hoping that scans of these records are available somewhere.

Just to add to the information on Robert, he went to New Zealand before he came to Australia.  He cause some problems in New Zealand and then came to Australia.  I have not been able to track down his shipping records to New Zealand and then to Australia.  Robert Smith is a popular name.  As Revhead stated Robert had been in receipt of money, which was sent through a solicitors by the name of Meads. Would it be possible to obtain old solicitors records in England?

That's good I tried to order the will and had something go wrong with the payment....I did get a copy of the marriage entry.....I can send a copy to you if you have an email address.  I will let you have a look at the information before discussing anything.  I think Robert was being funny.
