I suppose it is possible that he could be a child. I will have a look at Williams records and see if I can find the date he moved to Suffolk
Thank you

Annie M is registered in South shields so i am quite sure that she's not a relative.

Annie b1914 is registered in Auckland Durham but I have census records for family members living there at that time so she's still a possibility

Thanks Trish
I know that William left Frances in 1924 my grandad told me that he was 6 years old at the time his father deserted him, his brother and mother.
So I doubt that Ronald is a relative.
I will have a look at Annie M though thank you

Hi Jennifer
I have Frances Ann's birth certificate and her dob is 8/7/1897 on there.
She has been recorded as 1896/97/98 on different documents but all keep the day and month the same.

That leaves Gladys, John and Alice all possible with the quarter dates on record.

Annie's quarter dates would be the same quarter as Frances and William's marriage in April 1914. So unless they married quickly to avoid an illegitimate child at the same time as or soon after the birth it seems unlikely that Annie is a relative either.

John Cooper jan/feb/mar 1917
Gladys Cooper  Apr/May/Jun 1915
Annie Cooper apr/may/jun 1914
Alice Cooper apr/may/jun 1925

Emily E Cooper did appear on family search quite a while ago, when i have looked to check her info I can't find her birth. Only the same info that you came across so I am happy that she isn't a relative.

The dates of the others still leave them possible.

Thanks Groom that's a great idea which I hadn't thought of. I will have a look at the info and let you know what I find regarding dates.

Durham / Help needed with possible children

I know that it's a long shot but I have found 5 possible children of my great grandparents. Could anyone be able to help me to narrow down the possibilities before I order birth certificates for them please?
The info I have so far is that all 5 possible children were recorded as Cooper with mother's maiden name as Raine and all registered in the Houghton le spring area.
My great grandmother was Frances Ann Raine b1897 in North biddick she married my great grandfather William Cooper b1888 in Durham, they married in April 1914.
Their confirmed children were William Cooper b1/10/18 and Edward Raine Cooper b3/1/21.
The possible children are
Annie Cooper b1914 d1914
Gladys Cooper b1915 d1916
John Cooper b1917 d1917
Emily E Cooper b1919 d1920
Alice Cooper b1925 d1925
All registered with mother's maiden name as Raine and all in the Houghton le spring area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated although I know that birth certificates are necessary, I am hoping to narrow down the possibilities before I order them. Thanks in advance
