Hi

Arthur Stocqueler Wardroper was my great grand father. My grandparents were Arthur Kingsley Wardroper and Mary Thompson.

I have a fairly extensive tree on Ancestry if you have access (I would need to invite you via e:amial).

Parents are Sir George Muschamp and Elizabeth Selby of Barmoor. The family occupied properties across Northumberland - e.g. Lyham (Chatton Parish), Gatherick (Lowick Parish).

In a will of Ralph Muschamp probate 1653, he is stated as being from Sothericke, Northumberland. Any one know where this is?

Thanks

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Re: Look Up St Martin in the Fields Please

The transcription on FindMyPast for the marriage in 1699 reveals nothing more than their names.

Rene Turquand and his immediate family from Châtellerault have been well documented. The question is whether Samuel is also related.

There is a cousin Samuel born abt 1673 at Châtellerault and marrying Marie Charon in 1696 (children Pierre 1697 and Marie 1698). Did he come to London in 1696 and remarry?

Hi

I would love to find out whether the original records for the following entries on IGI have any additional information regarding the parents - profession etc. I think they are all for siblings born to Samuel and Marquise? Turquand.

Samuel Bartholomew Turquand - b. 24 Aug 1700, c. 25 Aug 1700
Marquise Turquand c. 13 Aug 1701
Mary Turquand* c. 1702
Nicholas Turquand c. 7 May 1706
Mary Turquand* c. 1707
John Turquand* c. 1709
Magdalene Turquand c.11 Apr 1710
Mary Anne Turquand c. 3 Aug 1711
Martha Turquand* c. 1713
Rene Turquand* c. 1715
John Turquand* 1717

In the case of the * names, I am not sure of the parents.

Any information might help me link them to their Huguenot forebears.

Thanks

Tony

Hello

I have discovered who Elizabeth was born to.

Parents were Thomas and Elizabeth Ridley of The Banks, Haltwhistle. No marriage confirmed.

Elizabeth c. 18 Apr 1770
William c. 11 un 1772
Thomas c. 10 Sep 1774

Thomas 1770 went on to marry Barbara Snowball 16 Dec 1794 at Oviingham
They lived at Birches Nook nr. Bywell.
William 1772 - not sure who he is, but possibly maerried Ann Walton at Bywell St Peters and was a farmer at Acomb.
