Canada Lookup Request / Re: Ontario Marriage
« on: Thursday 14 December 23 17:18 GMT (UK)  »
Many thanks to the replies I have had regarding Winifred Link.  She did well in Canada because she was a Home Child sent out ona ship in 1912 a couple of months after the Titanic went down.  About 120 Barnardo's children also on the ship.  Her mother - my paternal grandmother - died in London in 1904 and with other family members lived in Ipswich orphanage.  Don't we have easier lives now.
Best wishes to all for the information.

Suffolk / Re: ROZIER Family

Hi Baloo.
I think I have seen your name here before and also Sandiep.  I have quite a bit on the Roziers and Roshers so I know of the names you have given.  So Henry Rozier or Rosier I have born about 1720 but in the area of Culford or Ingham.  Sorry Sandiep but Robert Rosier - our forebears - has no connection to Pakenham.
Yes he married Elizabeth Candler either 1750 or 1752 possibly in Norwich where other Rosiers were or in Culford.Henry died 1787 aged 67 years also in Culford.Possibly 5 children with Henry born 1749 and chris 1752 then 1st married Francis Mann at Pakenham n 1779.  7 children from this marriage then a 2nd to Lydia Jacob with one girl.  Henry died 1816 Francis died 1795.
Can give you more about family.  Hope to hear from you.  Regards Denzil.

Hi Yi Win.
|Just thought I would ask a question of you but sorry I cannot help your research.  My great grand father was Henry Blofield Rosher and I have never found out why he had the middle name. I assumed there was a connection with another family.  Henry lived in the Barking, Needham Market area not so far from the Stonhams.  Have you ever come across the surname Rosher or Rosier in your research.Best wishes and again sorry I cannot help further.

Dublin / Thomas Boothman
« on: Tuesday 29 October 19 19:10 GMT (UK)  »
Trying to find anyone researching the Boothman family of South Dublin.  Thomas Boothman was born 1854 with brothers John and Samuel - the latter seems to have the same birth year.  Thomas married Daisy O'Meara in 1909 then after his death she married James Mussen.  Looking for parents maybe George Joseph Boothman.  Any help much appreciated.
