Apologies, the baptism for Henry Charles was at St Mary, Watford, Hertfordshire.

A Thomas Clapham married Mary Leigh 1794 in Hatfield so maybe a case of more than one Thomas & Mary Claphams around at the same time  :-\

According to Northaw BTs

Henry Charles s/o TG and MM Clapham was baptised 6 Jun 1803.
Mary Magdalen Clapham buried 20 May 1803
Thomas Green Clapham buried 6 Oct 1803.

No daughter baptised 17 Jul that I can see.


The baptism came from a transciption on FindMyPast

Ancestry has a baptism for  Henry Charles Clapham 15 July 1807, son of Thomas and Mary Magdalene.  Is this a late baptism for the third child or was Mary still alive??

It looks like they had a daughter baptised 17 Jul 1803 so was it this Mary who was buried in 1803? (perhaps I was just getting confused by your post)

Was he a soldier? There are some Gazette entries for a Thomas Green Clapham.
