looking for any info concerning Edmond/edmund Strickland born abt.1555 kendal? who went on to marry Agnes Braithwaite in kendal in 1576 [I also believe he was married to a Susan Wilson before Agnes ,but she died in 1575]      he may of lived in Natland near Kendal and had the following children -Isobell[1575-1575,to Susan]  ,Agnes [1576-1635,who went on to marry Richard Slater in cartmel] , Ellin[1579-1594]  and Robert[1581]
My main intrest is his parentage as many of the online sites [especially some of the family trees]  show conflicting ideas and i wondered which of the Strickland family lines he originated from ?

i am looking for any info concerning the birth ,death and marriage of WILLIAM WOOF b.1699 died 16 jan 1763 in selside near kendal, i know he married a DEBORAH but have not been able to find any record of the marriage or his birth place which i presume was around selside or orton ,westmorland as there seems to be a strong connection between the woof family to orton ?
He died in selside i am lead to believe but again have not been able to find any details of his burial, except a date.

hi,,,carnt find the beetham parish deaths anywhere on the net and wondered if anyone could look it up for me ,,what i am interested in is any BALDWINS  (other possible spellings-BOULDING,BAWDWYNE,BOLDING etc) deaths between 1769 and 1810 in beetham,,possibly papist living in Hale near BEETHAM

hi,,im trying to confirm if a WILLIAM BALDWIN who married  a ANNE KIRKHAM [born walton le dale 1713] in 1734 in leyland was the same william born 1708,in priest hutton ,warton near lancaster to henry baldwin and eliner.
i have seen his birth as the above mentioned warton as well as walton le dale and am trying to confirm which one it is and if he's the the warton william.

looking for any info on my great great aunt, margaret johnson,born margaret baldwin,burton ,westmorland,1880, married Joseph edward johnson ,born manchester abt 1886,          married in burton ,1908,     ,joseph's address on the marriage certificate at the time was 73 bath? street ,Hulme,manchester and he was listed as a warehouse clerk ,
thay were living in burton on the 1911 census but by 1919 were living in 73 fir street,seedley ,salford,and seemed to live there until at least 1929 when joseph gets a mention in kelly's directory as a salesman ! thats the last mention i can find ,so no idea of death dates etc and with quite a few johnson's and people with similar names around the same time in the same place it can get quite confusing
josephs father was also called joseph and was listed as a joiner on the marrige cert. also listed as deceased by then.
and finally when my mother was young,late 1930's ,she remembers a couple coming up to visit from manchester,to see her grandad,she was sure they were jewish?? (they did marry in burton c of e church??) and by then had something to do with a furniture buisness?
so any info would be appreciated...thanks wayne
