Can someone do a lookup for me please?
The 1 Presbyterian Church is, I believe, in Letterkenny, Conwal Parish, Barony of Kilmacrennan, Donegal.
Looking for children born to John Cassidy and Mary (sometimes called May) Kerr and John Cassidy's parents names.
Also any information on marriage and children of Samuel Cassidy bapt. 14 Mar 1844 at 3 Presbyterian Church, Letterkenny, Conwal Parish, Barony of Kilmacrennan, Donegal (parents: William Cassidy and Elizabeth ?)
What I know:
John Cassidy married Mary Kerr (daugther of Hugh Kerr b. 23 Dec 1868 Killyclug)) on 8 Jan 1857 at the 1 Presbyterian Church. The officiating minister was Rev. John Kinnear.
1901 Census shows this family as:
John Cassidy head b. Donegal age 64 Presb. Farmer (b. 1837)
Mary Cassidy wife b. Donegal age 63 Presb. (b. 1838)
Alexander Cassidy son b. Donegal age 24 (b. 1877)
Sarah J. Cassidy dau b. Donegal age 20 (b. 1881)
I also have sons of William Cassidy m. Elizabeth ? - John Alexander (m. Mary Tease) and David (m Martha Harris) showing on 1901 Census for Glencar, Irish, Conwal with their families.
I also know that John Cassidy, Samuel Cassidy and William Cassidy were rentors of land from Charles Faussett in Glencar Irish, Parish of Conwal, Letterkenny, Kilmacrennan. John rented 7 acres, Samuel rented 84 acres and William rented 7 acres, all had houses on them and I believe the parcels were side by side.
I am trying to determine if Samuel ( son of William and Elizabeth) or John and Mary (Kerr) are my great great grandparents.
My great grandfather, Samuel Cassidy b. 1859/60 was born in Letterkenny, Conwal Parish, Donegal and immigrated to Canada where he married in 1889 Ontario and had a huge family. His first born son named John and his first born daughter named Mary Jane (called May).
I know the Census until 1901 were destroyed so the only information I know of would be from the Churches. I have been unable to find the 1 Presbyterian Church or the 3 Presbyterian Church online.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
