Family History Beginners Board / Making Family Tree available online..
« on: Wednesday 10 January 18 21:39 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for advice on making my family tree available one line. We created it on ancestry and legacy, but, now find the cost of maintaining an ancestry subscription prohibitive.  We would like to make it freely available and at little or no cost to us (this does seem to be the sticking point) and presumably once we die , the tree will fall by the wayside as there will be no one to maintain the cost. So I would really appreciate some ideas and advice.

Many thanks

Robin

The photo is of my great great grandmother Emily Cocksedge 1845-1932. The photo was taken in Bury St Edmunds , I understand Spanton operated between 1864 and 1901 but wondered if it was possible to date the photo more closely based on the clothing.

Details on the reverse are WS Spanton.16 Abbeygate Street, Bury St Edmunds,  No. 42520
