Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Haslam Brothers
« on: Saturday 21 May 22 18:46 BST (UK)  »
Hi guys, First of all, I would like to thank each and every one of you again for the fantastic restoration work that you all did with my great uncle Fred. My family is absolutely over the moon with all of them.

I now have another family photo that I'm hoping that some of you will be able to work that magic on again.

This photo is of my Great grandfather, George Henry Haslam, and his four brothers, Walter, Harrison, Reuben, and William Haslam. It would've been taken around 1908, probably after the death of their mother and the time some of them left the village they were born in ( Belmont, Lancashire). I do also think it could be also a wedding photo as the chap on the left is wearing a darker rose than the other four siblings.

Thank you

Pete.

Hi everyone. Is it possible for someone to make this photo clearer? It's my great uncle Fred Taylor's marriage to Martha Rogerson in Bolton, Lancashire in 1924. My grandmother Sarah Ellen Taylor is also in the photo she is sitting on the left.

:)Can anyone date this please. Would the clothes that the children are wearing be popular among the people who lived in the countryside or dwellers from the towns. Also was it common for a photo to be taken without the mother?I'm also thinking that the clothes could have been hired from the photographer at the time.

Armed Forces / Ahmendabad, India, 1882.

I'm looking for any info of a relative of mine who seems to have shot himself in the head. His name was Reuben Haslam and he was born in Bolton in 1858 and died in Ahmedabad, India,1882. He was in the British army but I've no idea what regiment. I've got this information from another person who was searching for someone with the same name. Being from Bolton I thought he could've been in the Lancashire fusiliers.Where is the best place to look for his name?

Thanks Pete.

Canada Lookup Request / Quebec deaths
« on: Friday 21 February 14 08:55 GMT (UK)  »
Hello- I'm looking for the deaths of a few distant relatives all of them were born in Bolton, Lancashire, England, and they all died in either Montreal or Trois Rivieres.

They are -  Jessie Peake, b1904 (nee Crompton) probably died in Trois Rivieres.
Philip Rushton, b1892 probably died in Montreal.
Lilly Maud Rushton, b1901 (nee Jones) probably died in Montreal.

I'm also looking for the death of the adopted daughter of Phillip and Lilly Rushton, her name was Ann Rushton and she was born in 1930 probably Trois Rivieres and I believe that she died in the mid '70s.

Kind regards Pete.
