« on: Tuesday 13 December 16 23:47 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there,

what could

"in memory of my mother, my sister, my brother, my friend
                   1855 M.H. "
on a gravestone mean?

Below that "also Maria Hide ( the above mentioned M.H.)  who died July 9th 1866 ".

Any suggestion or lead?

thanks,

elcas

Who is willing to look up please the gravestone of Maria Hide, died 9 July 1866, St.Mary cemetery, Bury St.Edmunds.
I have a picture but not all words all clear due to leaves etc.
It could give me a clue to open the brick wall to the family of my 4x grandfather Charles Hide, who went around 1800 to Russia, but sofar not known from where in England.
Would be very grafeful,

- Catharine Robson (or Hobson) died after 1832

- Elizabeth Tringham, born 23 -08 - 1789

- Mary Paterson, born 5 - 02 - 1827.

The all where married to my maternal forebears named Hide .

After years searching a little desperate by now....many thanks

Europe / What could "Auf der Imsfabrique" in Narva mean?
« on: Saturday 14 December 13 23:00 GMT (UK)  »
The birth certificate of Marie Elisabeth Hide, daughter of my great/great/grandfather, Richard Hide and his wife Mary Paterson, indicates that she was born 10 October 1848, Narva, Vezenberg, Estonia "Auf der Imsfabrique".

I have some indications that this could refer to a big company in that area where the father was working in a certain period, but "Imsfabrique" does not fit.

While many English subjects have been working in that area, I hope that someone can show some light!

Many thanks.
