Bedfordshire Lookup Requests / Rebecca Dickens -- Riseley

Hi,
Rebecca Dickens married James Dennis in Riseley in1803 but I think I have been barking up the wrong tree with identifying her parents. Looking at the names of her children it seems likely that her parents were Simon Dickens and Martha Harper, but I have been unable to find any confirmation of her existence outside the census and burial records. I am wondering if they were dissenters. Any ideas gratefully received.

Bedfordshire / Mary Packwood

Mary Packwood married Jonathan Hart in Melchbourne in 1812 but I cant find a record of her birth in Melchbourne among the rest of the Packwoods born there at about that time. James Packwood and Elizabeth Clark had 7 children at about that time, but no Mary amongst them that I can find.

Any ideas anybody??

Hi,
I am new to this board because my ancestors never left Bedfordshire

but in the family tree of my 2 sons there is an Isaac Bernitz who was born in about 1863 in Russia. He immigrated to England presumably during the pogroms. I would like to know where to look to find out anything further about his arrival in the UK. I have the family on the 1911 census.

I am trying to track down the birth details for this chap who certainly had all his children baptized en masse in Higham Ferrers in 1820, but I cant find any trace of his birth in the same location among the numerous other Freemans. He married a Sarah Birder in 1797 in Leighton Bromswold, Hunts.

I have traced my Cheney family back to Thomas Cheney who was born in Irthlingborough in 1690 and who married Ann Thomas in 1716. Anyone else familiar with this branch of the family??
