Villagers are furious over wilful destruction of 200yr old headstones.

JCB pulled the stones over & then drove over them in a deliberate attempt to destroy them.

Plans have been re-submitted to destroy 16th Century Graveyard for a developer to build houses.
The Church in Wales can't afford to maintain the grounds, so have decided to sell.

There is plenty of other land available for housing in the area.

What action can be taken to prevent such a diabolical act from going ahead ?  Has anyone had any success in opposing such developments ?

My gg grandfather's occupation is a bit difficult to read.
Intially I thought it said 'Coker on rocks', but I think it may actually be 'Coker on ovens'.

Would someone be able to clarify what it really says ?

Glad to see that there has been some development with the 1901 leftovers.

I have one small suggestion, though:

When I first accessed the 1901 lefotvers home page, I could not find how to search for ancestors.
It was only on my second visit that I saw the small search button. It was hidden above the Google ads!

It may be because the font size is too large.

Would it be possible to adjust it so that everything fits on one page, making the search buttons visible ?
Or put an additional link to the search facility further down the page...
