hi I was wondering if anybody else is looking for Taylor's in Perth. I seem to loose my family off some of the census . They are on the 1871 and 1901 but can't trace them on the 1861 or 1851 census however there is a family with similar names at Muthil.
My family are in1871 Anne Taylor age 60 head- Catherine age 24 daughter weaver -David age20 son shoemaker living at 116 High StreetPerth .
I found a family in Muthil in 1851 I am not sure if they are related to mines or not - Peter Taylor head - Ann Taylor age40 sister Robert age 14 nephew all weavers.
Also in Muthil in 1851 Robert Taylor age42 servant selling coal -Isabella wife age 38 Peter son age 6
Catherine age 4 . Robert married Isabella in Dunblane in 1833.
I cant find a birth for my Catherine or David I know on Catherine's death certificate 1928 it states that her mother was Ann Porter and her father was John Taylor this also draws a blank . On her brother David's death certificatewho died in 1895 his mother is Ann Taylor and no father's name is given.
Ann Taylor on her own death certificate is given as single and signed by her son David . It states her father as Alexander Taylor and ms Sharp. I have found children to Alexander Taylor and Catherine Sharp but they do not have a daughter Ann.
David on his marriage certificate states his name as David Porter Taylor. I believe Catherine and David might have some more sibling's older than them but I still have not found them.
I know my family were weavers who lived in Perth from at least from1871 Catherine had two children that I could find Agnes Taylor1873 my G Grand mother Perth and John Taylor 1883 born Tibbermore Perthshire.
Agnes stayed in Perth all her life and I think her brother John stayed in Stanley.
I would be obliged if any one had any information on
my family or help.
cheers susan
