Sussex Lookup Requests / James Brooker & Sarah Taylor
« on: Saturday 21 April 07 02:00 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
I am searching for any info on James Brooker and Sarah Taylor.  The last piece of information I have on them is that their last child was born in Worth in 1826 (Worth Parish Church).  Both are believed to have been born circa 1780. They were married 29th Oct, 1801, Worth Parish Church.  They had many children -
26th Feb 1803 Mary Ann
15th Apr 1805 James
19th Apr 1808 Mark
25th Dec 1810 Sarah
1814 Ann
1817 Philadelphia
1820 Harriot
1823 Milley
1826 Elizabeth

All children were christened at Worth Parish Church, according to online information.

Thanks for any help,
Lilster

« on: Monday 11 September 06 01:14 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
Looking for confirmation of the parents of James Walker.  IGI lists them as William Walker and Mary Speer.  I have no further info on them.
James Walker was born/christened Nov 1818 in Templecrone Parish Donegal Ireland.  In 1839 he married Jane Colquohoun, Templecrone.
Any suggestions?

« on: Monday 21 August 06 02:51 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,

How does one start to research a Polish genealogy when one does not speak Polish?  If anybody can tell me how to spell the Polish word for 'fish' it would be appreciated (the name I need is the same as this word...)

Australia Lookups completed / ANY advice on pre1825 resources?
« on: Tuesday 15 August 06 09:48 BST (UK)  »
I am searching for a Mark BROOKER, sent to Australia (Tasmania) for the theft of material. I have the Old Bailey transcript and know he was born around 1807 (specific place unknown).  What sources exist to be searched before this time period?
Any ideas on what I should check?
Thanks

Australia Lookups completed / Need help- WHITE in Orange, NSW
« on: Sunday 13 August 06 05:51 BST (UK)  »
I am seeking any info on The White family from Orange NSW.  Thomas White was on the pioneer register, 1888, however no dates for birth etc listed.  He married Emma Cecilia Spratt in 1901.  He was buried on the family property (and hence no headstone).  Death date unknown.  There is a Thomas White born 1874, to George Henry and Elizabeth in NSW BMD.  This could be him, how do I tell?  Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
