England / Thomas Green CLAPHAM marriage 1797-1799
« on: Tuesday 23 April 24 08:52 BST (UK)  »
Trying to find the marriage of Thomas Green CLAPHAM to Mary Magdalen ??, sometime just prior to 1799-1800.

Their first child was named Thomas Picton CLAPHAM born 1800, so her maiden name could have been PICTON. Thomas Green CLAPHAM's mother's maiden name was GREEN.

Second child born Westminster Sep 1801

Third child born Northaw, Hertfordshire May 1803.

She was buried at Northaw, Hertfordshire on 20 May 1803, probably from childbirth complications.

Thanks

Hertfordshire / Elizabeth CLAPHAM 1817-? in Watford
« on: Wednesday 17 April 24 02:38 BST (UK)  »
Trying to find Elizabeth CLAPHAM after 1851 census. She was born Elizabeth COMINS and she married William Henry CLAPHAM at Witheridge, Devon on 1 Jan 1835. She was from Witheridge, baptised there 22 Oct 1817.

Can't find her or her husband in 1841. Should be in London or Watford, although could be in Yorkshire.

They were in Watford in 1851. His brother's wife was visiting them.

William Henry died in Watford on 22 Jul 1859. No sign of Elizabeth anywhere after that, unless she predeceased him.

No children that I have been able to find.

Thanks

Canada / Anglican Churches in Hamilton, Ontario in 1893.
« on: Saturday 06 April 24 05:04 BST (UK)  »
My great grandparents Alfred CLARKE and Miriam Mannington FAULCONER were married in Hamilton on 5 Oct 1893.

The official marriage registration does not say where the marriage took place, other than Hamilton.

Do have a handwritten certificate provided by the officiating minister, Edward M Bland, which says they were married in The Cathedral. He was the Rector.

Is anyone able to tell me if this particular church is still in existence.

Hoping someone can assist.

Thanks

Australia / Martha BATEUP 1816-1866
« on: Friday 09 February 24 04:45 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone find the burial location for Martha BATEUP. She died May 1866 at Redfern in Sydney.

Her husband and his second wife and a number of their children are buried in Rookwood, but she does not appear to be, unless her surname is spelt differently.

An earlier post on this family.

Hoping someone can translate this baptism for Friedrich Ernst Wilhelm BRÜCKNER please.

Page is labelled December 1845 so believe the birth could be 31 Dec, but not sure about baptism.

« on: Friday 05 January 24 21:15 GMT (UK)  »
Robert William MURCH was born 29 April 1848 in Wellington, son of Philip Matthews MURCH and his wife Catherine.

Can't find anything else about him after that date, seems to have disappeared. No marriage or death.

Possibly died as a baby and death not registered??

Thanks
